Dinosaurs! Ancient creatures, long-gone... they have a magical, almost mythological appeal. It's fascinating to read about them, to see their skeletons in museums, and to think about how our knowledge of them is constantly changing and growing.

This velociraptor is the first in my series of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, here representing one of the most game-changing dino discoveries in my lifetime: feathers!

Velociraptor was a turkey-sized dinosaur who lived in arid climates. As of this writing, velociraptor's coloration is still unknown, so I've used a kori bustard as a rough model for the colors. They're able to live and hide in the desert, too, so I think it fits. :)
