breathe

This piece was made for Xstitch Magazine's 'Orient' issue, and my take on the theme was a set of reminders, ways to keep one's self oriented. I don't think I've done any other piece quite like this one, before or since, and it was a fun challenge figuring out how all the elements would work together. I was particularly glad that the color wheel composition worked so well with the different themes for the 'bubbles', with each matching up nicely with its main color. And the colors were such a blast to stitch in!

My favorite squares are the ones for 'Socialize' (those little coffee cups and text bubbles!) and 'Feel the Sun', with a shout-out to the cursive double 'b's in 'Hobby', too.

This one hangs in my bedroom, and not gonna lie, it is nice having the little reminders around. :)
